Chiek Tiote was born in Yamoussoukro  Ivory Coast on the 21 June 1986. At the age of 10 he played bare foot in the streets on Ivory Coast, in 2005 he was scouted by Belgian side. In 2008 he then went on to play professionally for FC Twente and the public started to realize his potential and his amazing key passes within a game. He featured in the Champions League and the Europa Cup.

On the 26 August 2010 Chiek Tiote joined Newcastle for a price of £3.5 million pounds. His first game in the black and white colors was against Everton at Goodison park. Within the game he made 64 passes and managed to make 6 successful tackles. After a 2-1 win away to West Ham, Tiote obtained a man of a match performance against Wigan. When Newcastle drew Stevenage in the cup, he was in the starting 11 but got sent off during the match. But we all know what Tiote did during the 4-4 draw against Arsenal, Joey Barton whipped in a free kick and Arsenal headed clear, it fell to the left foot of Tiote and he vollied it first time to hit the back of the net. This is the only goal he has scored for Newcastle, but what a goal it was!

August 12th 2009 he made his debut for his international team, Ivory Coast vs Tunisia  In the 2010 Africa cup a nations, he was given the number 9 shirt and has been a vital member to his international team since.

So, From this we see Tiote has a good sporting career and still having one at this moment in time. In the Premier League we see he play a center defensive midfield role, he retains possession. He is mostly known for his wild tackles.
